Godet

Godet

Godet Montils

Description

It is the fruity expression of rare grape varieties, representing less than 2% of the vineyard.

For two generations we have worked hand in hand with our winegrowing partners to replant the Montils, Folle Blanche and Colombard grapes. They are forgotten varieties that almost disappeared with the phylloxera infestation in the 19th Century. These surprisingly refined grapes reveal all the flavour of highly distinctive cognacs.

Godet Extra Hors D'Age

Description

Extra Hors d’Âge is the result of ageing our eaux de vie in oak casks for 20 to 70 years.

Beyond the classics, V.S., V.S.O.P., and XO, the Extra Hors d’âge illustrates the Godet House’s recovery after 1945.
To create this cognac, which is a living legacy of our ancestors, we still draw affectionately from the barrels of Jacques, our grandfather, and Jean, our great-grandfather. They are still with us in this way and we can immerse ourselves in those post-war years, when they rebuilt the cellars and vineyards, destroyed during the Occupation, by the ocean.

God by Godet

Description

An experimental cognac, aged for 4 years in a single barrel.

It is never blended or reduced with water, remaining undiluted, and it has no added sugar or caramel, which is what gives it its high alcohol content. At 70.6°, this is the purest most powerful cognac ever marketed. An intense experience.

Taste

:

Unctuous and supple in the mouth.

Finish

:

Long powerful finish.
