Escudo Rojo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

Description

The nose opens on an array of refined ripe black fruit aromas, joined on airing by light toasted hazelnut notes. The palate has ripe black fruit notes found on the nose return on the rich and ample attack, while attractive spice and toast flavors bring remarkable complexity and intensity to the midpalate, underpinned by powerful tannins typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. The black fruit flavors return on the long and fresh finish.

Nose

Extremely intense fruit, with notes of graphite, blackcurrant, and red fruit such as cherry, combined with soft spicy hints of black pepper and cardamom, interlaced with smooth notes of vanilla imparted by barrel ageing.

Starts out very good, fresh and fruity with refreshing acidity. Very soft, silky and melt-in-the- mouth tannins emerge mid-palate.

Finish

:

Red fruit aromas return on the aftertaste, accompanied by a long, persistent finish.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Carmenere

Description

Purplish-red with violet highlights. Very intense and fruity, with notes of forest fruit, combined with spicy notes such as pink peppercorn, bay leaf, rosemary, black truffle, and subtle aromas of roasted coffee bean imparted by ageing in French oak. Starts off very delicate, refreshing and juicy with well-balanced acidity. The tannins are refined and velvety. Wild fruit aromas follow through to the aftertaste, culminating in a long finish.

Very intense and fruity, with notes of black fruit like blackberry and plum mixed with spicy nuances of roasted red pepper, cloves, bay leaf, rosemary, and subtle aromas of chocolate, toffee and roasted coffee beans due to ageing in French oak.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Pinot Noir

Description

The nose is very complex and fresh, with intense, forward fruit on cherry and raspberry mingled with gentle toasted almond notes. The wine has a very good attack, on elegant and succulent tannins. Fruit flavors emerge on the mid-palate, especially cherry, while the elegant finish combines the fullness of fresh fruit with the refinement of the Casablanca terroir.

Starts out excellent and very refreshing on the palate. Good volume and nice unctuous texture mid-palate. The structure reveals very smooth and elegant tannins. The aromatic complexity and red fruit notes return on the long finish, accompanied by good acidity.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Syrah

Description

The nose opens on subtle notes of black fruit such as blackberry and blackcurrant, followed on airing by delicate touches of oak and black pepper. The round and full attack displays the expressive black fruit notes found on the nose. The tannic structure typical of Syrah lends attractive body and heft to the mid palate, sustained by elegant notes of black and grey pepper, followed by a beautifully long finish distinguished by a remarkable return of fruit flavors and refined toasted notes.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Chardonnay

Description

Escudo Rojo Chardonnay Reserva is a bright yellow with a pale golden hue. The complex and intense nose opens on aromas of white blossom and fruit such as nectarines, lychee and pear, mingled with toasted hazelnut. From a very fine, elegant and succulent attack that displays freshness, good substance and excellent acidity, the generous and seductive mid-palate reveals pineapple, mango, and nectarine flavors together with delicate notes of nuts.

Nose

A very intense and complex nose with hints of citrus such as grapefruit, orange blossom, orange peel, some nuances of melon, and soft aromas of marzipan, hazelnuts and walnuts thanks to barrel ageing.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Sauvignon Blanc

Description

The nose opens on powerful citrus fruit aromas, followed on airing by delicate notes of white blossom and tropical fruit. The refined and fresh attack reveals subtle notes of white blossom and guava, leading into an intense and dense midpalate marked by an explosion of citrus fruit flavors recalling the aromas found on the nose. White blossom flavors return on the elegantly mineral finish.

The finish presents fruity aromas such as passion fruit and guava making for a delicious wine that invites another sip.

Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva

Description

An attractive, dense and deep ruby red. Heady, complex and elegant, the nose opens on notes of black cherry, blackcurrant and strawberry jam then goes on the reveal roast coffee and red pepper aromas. The attack is full, powerful and succulent, while attractively mature tannins give the mid-palate a natural smoothness, revealing ripe berry fruit flavors together with delicate notes of fresh spice. The wine then expresses its full aromatic complexity, between notes of blackberry, bilberry and blackcurrant and flavors of mocha, toast and toasted almonds. The intense and complex finish reveals all the characters of the Chilean terroir, perfectly combining the elegance of Cabernet with the roundness and powerful flavors of Syrah and Carmenere.
