Description

Delicate froth, lively and lingering. The first nose reveals vine blossom, linden and fresh, lightly toasted bread. After breathing, aromas of summer berries, citrus fruit and honey develop. Fine vinous attack on the palate, fruity (redcurrant, raspberry, ripe grape) and fullbodied, generous and long.

Taste

:

As an aperitif, served chilled but not ice-cold (8°C). Enhances hot or cold white
meats, poultry and premium charcuterie. An ideal complement to cold buffets, fish
and seafood.

Description

The red Champagne wine used to make the Cuvée Royale Réserve Rosé is made from grapes grown in Mareuil-sur-Ay, one of the Philipponnat family’s historic vineyards. The still red wine and the rosé de saignée of Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Ay and Riceys are obtained by maceration and incorporated at a rate of 7 to 8%. This cuvée is characterised by its fine bouquet where the fruity notes reveal themselves to be complex. On the palate, the attack is precise and the fruit notes highlight the spicy touches.

Salmon pink in colour with coppery glints. Delicate, creamy and lingering froth.

Nose

:

The first nose reveals summer berries with notes of cherry and wild strawberry.
Notes of citrus and grapefruit peel develop with time.

Taste

:

The attack is elegant and pure. Full and ample on the palate, with good acidity and
a light astringency that brings out the fruitiness.

Food Pairing

:

As an aperitif, served chilled but not ice-cold (9°C). Enhances smoked fish and
meats (ham, bacon) or pink meat (veal, lamb). An ideal complement to summer
berry desserts, either served plain or as a soup.

Champagne Philipponnat Blanc De Noir 2016

Description

Produced entirely from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards owned by Philipponnat, the Blanc de Noir Extra Brut 2016 was disgorged January 2023 and finished with a 4.5 grams per liter dosage. This 2016 unwinds with beautiful, complex aromas revealing bready, autolytic notes intermingled with poached red cherry, blood orange, butter pastry and an alluring smokiness. Finely textured and fresh throughout, the medium to full-bodied palate is a joyful marriage of deep fruit vibrancy and incisive acid energy that has a lovely, supple creaminess on the lengthy finish. This 2016 was disgorged January 2023 and finished with a 4.5 grams per liter dosage.

Color

:

Bright, slightly coppery gold with a generous, creamy foam.

Nose

:

Expressive and ripe with notes of yellow fruit and peach, with a lightly toasted aroma.

Taste

:

The palate is ample with notes of ripe fruit – peach and mango – and barley sugar. The finish is fresh and slightly minty but also supple.
