Dewar's 12 Years Old

The Ancestor

Description

A direct descendant of the signature Blended Scotch Whisky introduced over a century ago. This whisky was created by our previous Master Blender Tom Aitken to introduce the first permanent product to our premium Blended Scotch Whisky range.

Color

 :

Golden amber.

Nose

 :

A harmonious blend of citrus notes, including lime and orange, complemented by hints of apricot, pear, and subtle smokiness.

Taste

 :

Bright citrus flavors of lime and orange, layered with caramel, vanilla, and a touch of pepper, leading to a refreshing experience.

 :

Medium length with oak spice, pepper, and a gentle smokiness.

Dewar's 15 Years Old

Description

Created to be a sweeter, lighter Blended Scotch Whisky, this was the first whisky created by Stephanie Macleod. Thanks to both our unique double ageing process and golden water source, Dewar’s 15 Year Old is unusually smooth, with flavour notes of honey, toffee and floral.

Dewar's 18 Years Old

Description

A rather indulgent post-dinner dram, our abundantly flavoursome Dewar’s 18 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky has picked up awards all over the world since it was introduced to the range in 2003.

Festive aromas of fresh bread and cherries, with underlying notes of oak and subtle smokiness.

Dewar's 21 Years Old

Double Double

Description

This 21-year-old release has been finished in Oloroso Sherry casks, giving the whisky “subtle notes of cinnamon and ripe vine fruits with a silky smooth finish” and was recently awarded ‘World’s Best Blended’ and ‘Best Scotch Blended’ at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards.

Color

Old gold.

Nose

 :

Creamy and nutty with hints of praline, sweet fruits like tinned peaches and grilled pineapples, complemented by a touch of tobacco and tropical timber.

Taste

 :

Velvety mouthfeel with warming spices, figs, prunes, caramel, tannic oak, syrupy berry compote, zesty oranges, and a hint of leather.

Finish

 :

Silky smooth with subtle notes of cinnamon and ripe vine fruits, attributed to its finishing in Oloroso sherry casks.

Dewar's 25 Years Old

Description

A lovely immediate sweet and malty aroma, with hints of honey and dried fruits, offering a rich and enticing bouquet.

Taste

 :

Luxuriously succulent with notes of Highland honey, wild strawberries, and ripe peaches warmed by the sun, leading to a delicate fruitiness on a malty, cereal base, with a hint of vanilla coffee.

Finish

 :

Long and satisfying with warming cinnamon and cocoa powder, providing a complex and enduring finish.

Dewar's Carribean Smooth

Description

Dewar’s Caribbean Smooth is a blend of up to 40 single malts and grain whiskies that have been aged for at least 8 years and then double aged, before being finished in ex Caribbean rum casks for up to six months, creating a Caribbean smooth finish.

Nose

 :

Tropical fruit aplenty, caramel, and coffee.

Taste

 :

Sweet coconut ice cream dusted with chocolate, pineapple, toffee, and butterscotch.

Finish

 :

Sweet finish with a definite character from the rum barrel, rich caramel, banana, and dark chocolate.

Dewar's Japanese Smooth

Description

Dewar’s brings together Scotland and Japan for an amazing flavour experience highlighting a distinctive and harmonious blend of cinnamon, sandalwood and floral notes. Dewar’s Japanese Smooth is an 8-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky finished in Japanese (Mizunara) Oak Casks and is the fourth in an innovative cask series line-up. This rich and full-bodied whisky brings a unique finishing process to the double-aged Dewar’s blend, creating an approachable and smooth whisky with an extraordinary difference.

Nose

 :

Earthy oak with a whiff of smoke, plus light hints of citrus oil.

Taste

 :

Sandalwood, plum, forest floor, toasted grain, and a touch of cinnamon.

 :

Dewar’s Portuguese Smooth is a celebration of the two cultures of Portugal and Scotland, bringing about the vibrancy and colourful flavour’s that embody both countries. Dewar’s Portuguese Smooth is an 8-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky finished in Port Casks and is the third in an innovative cask series. This rich and full-bodied whisky brings this unique finishing process to the double aged blend for the first time, creating an approachable and smooth whisky with a difference.

Nose

 :

Floral notes of heather and hints of hedgerow berries, with honeyed oats and marzipan in tow.

Taste

 :

Smooth layers of vanilla, plums, and apricots with floral honey and baked cherries. Distant medicinal herbs are kept in check by nutty nougat.

Finish

 :

Drying spice arrives towards the finish, with sweet dried berries, roasted nuts, and burnt toffee.
