Fontanafredda Barolo DOCG Serralunga d'Alba

Description

A Barolo with a bright, ruby red color, with bright garnet reflections, which has an intriguing bouquet to the nose and recalls withered rose and underwood. The intense fragrance leaves room for spicier, more complex and more elegant hints. In the mouth it’s silky, but at the same time, tense, rotund and vibrant. An aroma of small red fruit, as well as a hint of mint. The tannin is young and energetic, and it expresses all its aging potential, which is typical of a great Barolo.

Fontanafredda Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Ebbio

Description

When young, this wine features a fragrance which is wonderfully spontaneous and full of surprise. In its bouquet, color and generous, velvety body this langhe Nebbiolo brings out all the typical qualities of the magnificent vine it is made from. Later in life its color becomes garnet-red with delicate orange shades, and its nose deepens, with traces of withered flowers, such as roses and, above-all, geraniums. Its warm, soft, well-bodied flavor is velvety and well-balanced, lingering in the mouth.

Description

Floral and fruity on the nose, with light hints of wood, spice, and vanilla. The palate is full, round, dry and velvety. Capable of longer bottle ageing, the Raimonda is delightful young as well. Excellent with Indian or Middle-Eastern dishes, as well as roast chicken and cheeses.

Description

Fontanafredda’s Arneis Pradalupo has a beautiful intense straw colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it is fresh and pleasant, with notes of white wisteria, pear, grapefruit, acacia honey, aromatic herbs and hay. On the palate, it is soft but with good acidity and a certain flavour.

Tasting Note

Exotic fruits, mature pears, hawthorn and acacia honey on the nose. The palate offers warmth, velvet, and with balanced acidity. Fresh and lingering.
