At Grant Burge wines, we challenged ourselves to come up with the most vibrant and impactful wines possible. This wine has a inky purple core pushing right out to a narrow ruby/crimson edge with notes of intense blackcurrants, choc mint with a hint of fresh cut cedar.

Description

The award-winning Grant Burge Meshach is our flagship Shiraz, only released in vintages of outstanding quality, handpicked from near century old vines from the famed Barossa Valley. The fruit for this wine has tremendous concentration and intensity, making Meshach a powerful, yet beautifully balanced wine.

This is a very complex wine, with red colour and purple hints.

Nose

:

The aromas are powerful and delightfully elegant with dominating aromatics of cinnamon, clove, dark chocolate, black pepper and mulberry. The small amount of whole bunch fermentation provides a hint of spice that sits on top of the wine like a garnish.

Taste

:

The concentration and power are beautifully balanced with layers of blackberry, coffee bean and dark chocolate. The wine has serious grunt, while having a lovely drive of acidity that will support the wine as it ages long in to the future. It has all the hallmarks of a classic, rich Barossa shiraz with undeniable vibrancy and freshness.

Description

Intense purple colour, with great depth of colour. An alluring and strong bouquet of cassis, coffee bean, tobacco leaf and dark mint chocolate. Background aromas of green leaf providing classical notes of powerful Cabernet characters. Blackcurrant, plum and cinnamon feature here, with hints of red fruits and oak usage adding complexity to the palate. Beautifully balanced with firm tannins and a graceful, persistent finish.

Description

Lemon, green in colour this Chardonnay has intense aromas and flavours of citrus, peach and nectarine with hints of honey. The creamy textural palate is soft with plenty of melon and sweet spices followed by a refreshing crisp finish.

Description

Bright red in colour, this medium bodied wine has plenty of aromas and flavours of blueberry, plum and raspberries with hints of spice and vanilla. The perfectly balanced palate is soft, subtle and juicy.

Grant Burge Series GB56 Shiraz

Description

This Shiraz shows deep purple colouring with pleasing aromas bursting from the glass. A highly perfumed Shiraz, the nose features red berry fruits, spice, confectionary notes and milk chocolate. A generous and round palate, the red berry flavours fill the mouth and are complemented by boiled lolly flavours. The wine has soft tannin structure with well integrated acid that compliments the sweeter aspects of this wine.

Description

Palate has sweet fruited blackberry and cherry with hints of mint combining with slick tannins and a velvety texture. The flavours are long and persistent with the dried spice most prevalent and mouth coating. Wine has moderate density with enticing balance and complexity.

Description
The aromas exhibit raspberry and liquorice, complemented by warm spices. The palate mirrors the aromas, with medium to full bodied red berry fruits that elegantly melds with the acid and tannin to produce an extremely well balanced wine.

Inky purple, Deep and dark with bright hues.

Nose

:

Dark chocolate, mocha, plum with caramel lift. Sweet spice and cacao nib. Although serious Shiraz black fruits show the layers are extended with earth and vanilla.

Taste

:

The tannins are firm but fine, with a full weight and texture carrying liquorice, black spice and some juniper. Full with intense flavours, the wine carries through for an intensely long finish.

Description

The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 35 to 90 years old.

A playful aroma combination of candied apple, raspberry jubes, frangipane and lemon curd. In the background you see notes of cinnamon and clove. Medium to full bodied, fresh and vibrant with enough tannin to shape the wine. Acidity carries the wine through to a clean, slightly mineral and lengthy finish. Lovely hints of fresh raspberries and cinnamon linger on the palate.
