Tasting Note

 :

Warm, smoky flavors of grain and spice. Aromas of full of spring flowers, a touch of black pepper and almonds, mixed with layers of honey and dates. Long and lingering spice finish.

Description

This special release has been carefully selected from the distillers’ favourite reserve, barrelled at a lower proof and slowly matured to create a bourbon of exceptional quality. With notes of vanilla, rich caramel, hints of spice and a long chocolate orange finish, Wild Turkey 12 Year Old Distiller’s Reserve is a showcase of the world renowned craftsmanship of Jimmy & Eddie Russell and brilliantly reveals the bold and distinctive character of Wild Turkey Bourbon.

Nose

 :

Plenty of caramel and spice, with some clove, ginger, and black pepper.

Taste

 :

Brown sugar, fresh baked cookies, vanilla fudge, dark chocolate chips, and some candied orange peel.

Finish

 :

Sweet spice, and warm, toasted oak.

Wild Turkey 101: 8 Years Old

Description

For over 60 years, Wild Turkey has been making 101 the same way, the right way. Aged in American White Oak barrels coated in the deepest alligator char, Wild Turkey 101 has an impossible-to-miss character.

Its high rye content and the 101 proof makes it a most flavorful Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that carries a bit of a pleasant bite to it – making it highly enjoyable neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail.

Vanilla with cinnamon and oak.

Taste

 :

Wild Turkey American Honey

Description

Wild Turkey American Honey is an exceptionally smooth 71 proof liqueur blended with pure honey and real Wild Turkey Bourbon Whiskey. It’s perfect straight out of the bottle, chilled in the freezer, or on the rocks. It’s the sweeter, smoother side of Wild Turkey, with notes of sweet honey, caramel, and orange. Aromas of real honey sweetness. Clean, bright, and smooth taste with bold flavors and a rich honey finish.

Wild Turkey American Honey combines deep tradition with a decidedly modern twist, creating an exceptionally smooth liqueur that has been described as a “sweet kick.”  The first recipe dates to the 1970s and originated at the Wild Turkey distillery. Crafted by Jimmy Russell, who always knew that American straight whiskeys boast deep, sweet, bold flavors that stand up to—yet play well with—many fruits and spices.

Description

Originally crafted by Kentucky Bourbon Hall-of-Famer Eddie Russell as “Wild Turkey 81”, Wild Turkey Bourbon is aged in American White Oak barrels with the deepest, No. 4 “alligator” char. With notes of sweet vanilla, pear, and hints of spice, this bourbon finishes with a flavor that is full and rich, whether enjoyed straight or with a mixer.

Aromas of deep vanilla with caramel with oak.

 :

An explosion of vanilla and caramel on the palate, with hints of honey and orange.

Wild Turkey Master's Keep One

Description

Master Distiller Jimmy Russell’s love of mid-aged bourbons is no secret. To reflect his father’s tastes, Eddie hand-selected barrels aged between 9 and 10-years-old. To reflect his own passion for the complex characteristics that come with older bourbons, Eddie selected a small batch of carefully aged 14-year-old whiskey. He artfully crafted these two profiles into one with a second maturation in new oak barrels specially toasted and charred.
